...No, not the alt-rock band from Ohio.

Apparently I have some hellacious cold that’s making my throat hurt.  At least that’s what Berry’s nurse said.  She gave me some medicine that seemed to be working for a bit and sent me on my merry way.  I’m still not sure if she called in a prescription or not; she mentioned that she might.

Guess I’m swingin’ by CVS tomorrow to see.

Went to Sam’s Club today and stocked up on Easy Mac, NyQuil, and Halls cough drops.  And now I’m going to bed…at 10:15.  Hopefully I can be all better by sometime tomorrow!

No voice again. Going to the doctor first thing in the morning. I think it’s strep. I hate it!

And I hate, hate, HATE buying books. I still have three to buy and I’ve already spent over $300.

I’m ready for fall break.

What a day.

I still have no voice.  This is awful.  I wish I could just go tomorrow without talking, but it’s the first day of classes and you kinda have to talk for that

Book prices are raping me.  And I still have at least three left to buy

I got caught in a sudden monsoon today and got soaked.  I’ve been cold ever since.  And my shoes are absolutely drenched.

Apparently because of a screw up on behalf of my advisor, I’m not longer in the Honors program.  I have to go check with someone’s office to see if I can still do it or what.

Dr. Pethel is telling me that I have to take two more music classes, technically putting me at 19 hours, but not taking credit for one, so he doesn’t have to fill out an overload slip.  No thanks.  I won’t have time for Bonner if I have to take those, and if that happens to be the case, I’m gonna forfeit my music scholarship because Bonner is more important to me than two performance classes, one of which being jazz.  Not only do I dislike jazz, but he wants me to learn a brand new instrument for it.  His response to my worries was “you’re a player…you have to do these…they’re easy As and will boost your GPA.”  No thank you

On a better note, I picked up all of my packages from the weekend today.  I got my HD cam, some shirts and a CD, and a textbook.  The HD cam is cool, but the zoom is choppy.  And it’s hard to take a decent picture with it.  The shirts and CDs are magical as always.  Thanks Chris!  And the textbook was a rip off, but it’s for what I’m thinking is going to be my favorite class, Piano.  Basically, I’m getting piano lessons and a college credit for it.  Sweet!  My dad is brining my keyboard down on Saturday along with snacks.  Huzzah!

After classes, getting caught in the rain, more classes, a Bonner meeting that I was late to because of schedule conflicts, and almost missing a ride, I went to Schroeder’s with most of my BCC class.  It was fun.  And I ate everyone’s fries.

The agenda for tomorrow is Pinciples of Economics at 9:30.  I have to buy a brand new book for that and it’s $196.  BCC100 at 12:30.  Kinda looking forward to this one.  Then finally Rhetoric and Writing at 2.  Dunno how much the book for that will cost, and I don’t think I wanna know.  I think I’m done for the day at 3:15.  Much, much better than the 5:45 of today.  Now I just need to figure out when I can cram in my Bonner hours.  Ugh.  College.

Headed to class in about 15 minutes,  I can hardly talk.
Fire alarm.  At 2AM.  Woohoo.

The New Faces Talent Show was awesome.  I got a standing ovation!  Woohoo!

…but now my throat hurts.

Uh oh.

Plan for tomorrow:

- Wake up a bit early and go for a bike ride.

- Go on campus tour with my BCC group.

- Do some BOLD activity thing.

- Go set up for the New Faces Talent Show.

- Perform, both solo and with band!

I need to go find some snacks / microwavable stuff somewhere pretty soon.  It sucks that Rome doesn’t have many mom-n-pops though.  Just chains.  I need my Easy Mac, though!  Ahhh!
So, I guess I’m officially in a new band. We consist of two guitars, apiano, drums, and a saxophone. Looking for a bass player. Right now we’re just kind of jamming, but we have some stuff that’s coming together nicely. And we got asked to play at a battle of the bands next month.  Woohoo! More info soon.
